Purpose of Therapy Boxes:
At Little Hive Therapy, we are committed to providing resources that support and enhance the therapeutic process. Our therapy boxes are thoughtfully curated with a variety of tools and activities designed to complement the therapeutic journey. They serve as valuable aids in promoting engagement, skill-building, and the extension of therapeutic benefits into the home environment.
Customisation and Relevance:
We strive to tailor our therapy boxes to be as relevant and personalized as possible, based on the needs and goals of our clients. Each box is crafted with care, incorporating evidence-based materials and activities that align with our therapeutic approaches.
Not a Replacement for Individual Therapy:
While our therapy boxes are excellent resources, it is important to note that they are not intended to replace individual therapy sessions. They should be viewed as an adjunct to professional therapy, providing opportunities for children and families to practice and expand on therapeutic concepts outside of scheduled sessions.
Role of Therapy Boxes:
Supplemental Tool: These boxes are designed to reinforce and extend the benefits of therapy sessions, offering additional activities that can be integrated into daily routines at home.
Family Engagement: They provide a way for families to actively participate in the therapeutic process, creating moments of connection and learning together.
Skill Enhancement: Activities and tools in the therapy boxes are selected to target specific developmental or therapeutic goals, encouraging ongoing progress between sessions.
Guidelines for Use:
Supervised Implementation: Activities and tools should be used under the guidance or supervision of a parent or caregiver, especially for younger children or those with specific needs.
Follow Professional Guidance: Clients should use the therapy boxes in conjunction with their individual therapy plans and follow any specific instructions or recommendations provided by their therapist.
Open Communication: We encourage clients and families to discuss the use of therapy boxes during therapy sessions to ensure they are being used effectively and to address any questions or concerns.
